We are located on the sunny side of Madeira in Calheta, and because of our great location, it`s just minutes drive away from the best Levada walks of Madeira and 45 minutes drive from the city center of Funchal. Our apartments are fully equipped with kitchens, one or two double comfy beds, bathrooms, and living space. You can enjoy our large heated swimming pool , with his sun terrace or get lost and have a walk trough our beautiful forest garden, where you can enjoy the silence and power of Madeira`s nature. About Us
The name of Vila Maria Quinta, is dedicated to the mother of the owner of the property. The reconstruction of the main house was started with the aim that the mother would come to live in this house. But due to the fact that where she lived it was difficult to access.
After 6 months of work had been completed, the lady died and construction was stopped for a year and a half.
After that time and due to the persistence of the owner’s younger brother, who gave the idea of making a Villa, the owners came to the Region, and that was when they decided to move forward, making some changes to the initial work.
This is how this is what it is today, for the enjoyment of our guests.
