“House of the Wine”.

One of the historic main features of “Casa da Vinho” is precisely as the name implies, it was the “house of the wine”. This apartment was used for the most important process of making wine, the maturation. The wine would lie here in large wooden barrels for months or even years. During this this process is the aromas and flavors will balance. The wine will reaches its maximum expression with aging. If you are curious to see what these barrels looked like, you can find one near the entrance next to the barbeque area.
